CustomerBuilder
is a rugby version of the well known 'salary cap' styled game
that is very popular in the US and throughout the world. It
is set at a level that retains the key game variables which
make it fun to play, but with much of the complexity removed
so that average punters will be interested and have the time
to play it.
Each week or round
of the competition contestants will need to go online to the
Web site and:
Plan
a strategy on which rugby players to buy and sell based on game
and statistical analysis.
Update
their team roster and ensure they have a full and valid team
at the round close.
Provide
the answer to a multi choice question – product related

forwards, 1 loose forward, 3 backs)

Typically a competitor will be given 2
trades per round of the game.
Competitors are assigned to play within
a predefined conference, but also get to see how they are
perfoming overall.
Competitors are provided with a basic
chat facility, by conference.
There is a detailed level of statistical
presentation
Prizes Contestants are usually eligible to
win prizes in four different ways:
Overall
series winners
Winner
of their conference (group)
Weekly
winners – best score for the round
Spot
prizes
The latter of these
are especially important to maintain ongoing involvement and
interest among the contestants who aren't performing well
in the overall series.
Typically team selections will need to be made by 6pm on Friday's
for the coming weekends games, with scores and standings recalculated
each Monday following.
Custom Branding
There are 3 pages allocateds for specific
branding - the Home Page, a Prizes page and a page dedicated
to promotional/special offers or message.
Content pages are
template based. The general colour scheme can be customized
and target spots on pages can be changed out with logos.
The prizes page
allows for a high level of customization.
Further customization
is by negotiation.
A small level of
FitSurfer branding remains eg. Powered by FITsurfer logo
+ link to FITsurfer Fantasy Games web site.

A feature of the CustomerBuilder game is the ability
to manage much of the site content through the use of a web
browser (e.g. Internet Explorer), this allows the licensee
freedom to control and update the website at all times. It
also gives access to important statistics and reports which
are useful in analysing the effectiveness of the competition
being run.
